This
one is well worth the effort.
HEY!! …it’s even HEALTHY!
Let’s
talk about eating good food.
The first step is sooooo…SIMPLE! Just drink your milk!
Every day!
If you have trouble with this, here’s a hint that
can really help: Try taking small sips while you are eating
and don’t save all the milk until the end when you
are too full.
Eat healthy foods before the treats!
Try new
foods and say, “Ha! Ha! Junk-Food. I BEAT You!”
What if you think something is too “Yucky!”
to eat? Here
are some more ideas:
•
Just try it! Even just a tiny little bit, and then say,
“Ha! Ha! Junk-Food! I BEAT YOU!”
•
If you are three, eat three peas, or three carrots, or
three whatever…
•
If you are four, eat four pieces of broccoli, or four
green beans, or four whatever…
Or
remember, “EVEN ONE is better THAN NONE!” And
remember this too: as you get older your taste will change,
so never be afraid to try something just because you didn’t
like it when you were little…
NOW YOU'RE BIG!!!

Teach kids that treats are okay after healthy foods.
In fact, if the kids know they have to
eat their meal before having a treat, or at least try
something new before having a treat, they are much more
apt to want to eat well. In short – use treats
to teach good eating habits. No treats instead of good
food. CAUTION: At CrabbieMasters we are not advocates
of ‘The Clean Plate Club’, which may encourage
‘over eating’, and prefer instead to advocate
balanced eating! |
