“When asked to do it, get right to it!” BEATING Hurry-Up can be just that simple!! Here’s a tip for you: Set a timer and if you have done what you were asked to do before the buzzer goes off, you just BEAT Hurry-Up!!!   Make this a teamwork situation. Kids need it to be fun to beat Hurry-Up or they will have no reason to cooperate since they generally aren’t in a hurry, or are just so busy with whatever they are doing that they don’t get started on their tasks. Make it a contest between you and them and see who can be ready first (let them win or tie if they are making the effort, or, set a timer and play “Beat the Buzzer”.
